Things To Do In Tehran
Imam Khomeini Mosque
The mosque is located in the Tehran Bazaar, near the Golestan Palace. It is the largest and most visited mosque in the city. It is accessible from many sides of the bazaar and hundreds of people visit it every day. It is also possible for non-Muslims to stop there and watch the Muslims praying.
Milad Tower – Borj-e Milad
It is a 435m tall tower in Tehran, which is the tallest tower in the country and the eighth tallest TV tower in the world. The tower is considered the landmark of modern Tehran.
Freedom Tower
The Freedom Tower, also called Azadi, is located in the middle of Tehran on Freedom Square and is almost 50m high. The tower was built on the occasion of the 2500th anniversary of the Persian monarchy in 1971 and is an eye-catcher due to its specific shape of a four-legged Y and is one of the city’s landmarks. Its architecture combines materials of Islamic design with the Achaemenids and Sassanids.
National Jewel Museum
The National Jewel Museum contains numerous jewels belonging to the Qajar rulers, while the exhibits in the museum date back to the Palaeolithic.
Tabiat Bridge
The 270m long Tabiat Bridge style is the longest pedestrian bridge in Tehran and connects two parks. In addition to the curved and construction, it is characterized above all by its well designed levels. From the high bridge you can enjoy a great view of the city and even the snow-capped peaks of the Alborz Mountains.
